Coconut coir fiber dust (CFD) is rapidly becoming one of the most popular growing mediums in the world. Infact it may soon be the most popular choice of growers.

Environmental protection has become one of the burning issues of the day in most parts of the world. This has lead to a growing demand for products made of environment friendly materials using environment friendly techniques.

Against such a back-drop, coir fiber dust- the residue remaining after coconut (Cocos-Nucifera) husks have been processed

for coir fiber has emerged as a promising alternative to peat, the mining of which is now widely considered by many an authoritative source as being environmentally and commercially unsustainable.

Coir Fiber Dust is obtained from heaps washed, sun dried, sieved and transported to the factories by Fiber Mill owners who carry on this operation as a cottage industry. The Coir Fiber Dust is dried to a moisture content of 15-20%. Laboratory tests will be performed to ensure quality of material. The coir fiber dust is then fed in to hydraulic baling presses, which compress the material in to the form of Bale (Bags), Bale (Blocks) Briquettes, Slab for Grow Bags and Discs (Tablets) between the ratios of 2:1 to 8:1 approximately. Expanded store space will enable our factories to stock pile large quantities of Coir Fiber Dust for use during South/West and North/East monsoons when demand for Cocopeat is highest on International markets.

Successful research and trials conducted in highly industrialized nations well advanced in agricultural practices into the properties of coir fiber dust, resulted in coco-peat becoming the generic term throughout the world for coir fiber dust bales or briquettes as a credible soil improver, recognized effective substrate and potting mix used in horticultural and floricultural markets of the world.
